R Chircop explains the inspiration behind his photography:
Nature really gives you what you are looking for but at her pace. We usually tend to hurry up loosing the niceties of simple things, and for this reason I tend to extract simplicity in my photos, what we usually ignore. If it’s a handle, or a door knock, a light post at night, a bench, they are all in my focus, and Malta is full of that Character everywhere.Captured Moments Blog
I like mostly natural habitats, for example a nest, a valley or a rock formation. For this reason I am a winter type of person, since I feel that this season gives life, it makes things move, it freshens, it greens out life. On the other hand when I am in the philosophical mood I give my visits to the more inhabited areas like Mdina and Valletta or Cittadella which I have visited several times and every time I always find that angle, that wall, that position that I have not noticed yet.
I like to travel so in most places I always tend to live the place totally, the food, the transportation, the people, the local rest areas, and it does not matter how much time it takes. I also like writing about the place so in most cases it is me, my Eos, my notebook and the “special pencil”.
My aim is to give some more air to my photos and share them with the rest of the world. I would be selfish to keep these photos for myself. I want that he whoever sees my photos feels what passed through my lens, the sensation of life in itself so wonderful, so unique.
