Innovation and enterprise

A series of interactive discussions promoting innovation in enterprise will be based on the thinking methods developed by Edward de Bono including lateral thinking and the Six Thinking Hats, David Lindsay reports:

They are expected to be of a highly interactive nature and will tackle real life business scenarios through simple and practical approaches. Announcing the initiative yesterday, Parliamentary Secretary Edwin Vassallo stressed that improving innovative capabilities should be a priority for business owners and the self-employed if they are to succeed in what are increasingly competitive and globalised markets...The qualities of flexibility and innovation are crucial to the survival of businesses. As Joe Woods of the Edward de Bono Foundation explained, “It is time for our businesses to not just think outside the box, but to also start doing business outside the box.”..

The meetings will start on 27 September and will be held between 6pm and 8pm. Guest speakers will discuss topics such as The Environment, Business Opportunity and Developing a Sustainable Balance (Ing. Mario Schembri from AIS Ltd), Expanding your Business in the EUROMED market (Michael Refalo from the Euro-Med Access Foundation) and Exploring and Using EU programme Funds to Creatively Increase your Business (Nadine Cauchi, Malta Enterprise). Those interested can get more information or apply for the meetings, which will be free of charge, by emailing simone.ellul@gov.mt or by calling 23886165.
